Thanks for being part of our event yesterday evening. We hope you enjoyed the Waterfront5k last night, and if you were a newbie, we would love to see you back again sometime soon - the more numbers made the event more impressive and we had a great atmosphere out there on course, plus also before and after.
Last evening the Waterfront5k was humming with 110 runners & walkers on the start line.
We had 27 new & amazing participants for the season tonight, with 21 of them joining us for the first time ever - a special welcome to those people, we hope you had a great run around the Wellington Harbour with us.
Excluding the new runners tonight we had 32 runners & walkers set Season or Lifetime Waterfront 5k PBs tonight - Congrats!
Top three Men on course tonight were Daniel Jones in 15:09 (new course record for this location), followed by Rowan Hooper and Joe Lynch
On the ladies side tonight top three were Kate Sceats (in 19:19 - amazing effort for one of the youngest in the field), followed by Greta Woolloff & Hinano Andrews
The first walkers home were jointly Ray Marten & Andrea Adams in 39:50.

Big thanks to the volunteers from Scottish Athletics for the help last night, with registration, pacing and on the finish line (it was slightly more manic than usual with the increased numbers and the testing of the timing system (more work on that to happen!).
Thanks to Macs Brewbar for the use of their area as our registration and the prizegiving location. And for those participants that made use of the location post run to relax and socialise. (hope you made use of the discount on the back of your race bibs!)
