Week four for the Waterfront5k for 2017 and (as per normal) we had a dry, but windy night on the Wellington Waterfrontfor our runners and walkers. All up we had 133 participants out on course on a normal Tuesday evening on the Wellington harbourside.
We had 20 new participants for the season tonight, with 13 of them joining us for the first time ever - special welcome to those people, we hope you had a great run around the Wellington Harbour with us.
Excluding the new runners tonight we had 33 runners & walkers set Season or Lifetime Waterfront 5k PBs tonight - Congrats!
Top three Men on course tonight were Cameron Goldsmid in 15:35, ahead of Brad Coleman and Adam Steinmetz.
On the ladies side tonight top three were Tamara Winkler in 19:09, ahead of Melissa Black and Kate Slater.
The first male walker home was John Hines in 39:44 and on the Ladies side it was Adele Scott in 36:27.
Congratulations to all who took part tonight we look forward to seeing you all again this summer.
And a special Congratulations to Madeline Hall winner of this months Participation prize, a $200 voucher from Shoe Clinic. The Next Participation draw will be on February 28th at the end of the next 4 week block - all you need to do to be in for a chance to win is to do 3 of the events over the next four weeks, and be there for the prizegiving on Feb 28th.

We hope the Pacers from Scottish were a motivation and helped you get through to a goal time. So thank you Harry, Michael, James, Niam, Jo & Lindsay for last nights efforts.
If you would like pacers of different times, let us know. and we will see what Scottish can arrange. They are planning to have at least 3 pacers most nights, and they will set the pace times based on requests (and who is available)
Also a big thanks to the Master Men from the Scottish Athletics for the help last night with registration and Finish line - it is greatly appreciated.
Thanks to Macs Brewbar for the use of their area as our registration and prizegiving location. And for those participants that made use of the location post run to relax and socialise.
