Week number 8, and we are back (after the slight gap due to last week's earthquake & storms) - and though it was windy out there, we had another rainless evening for running.
We ended up with 114 Runners and Walkers joining us on the waterfront last night. Congrats to you all! (And thank you!)
Thanks i part to the week gap and the WHAC invasion (welcome WHAC!) We had 42 new participants for the season tonight, with 25 of them joining us for the first time ever - special welcome to those people.
Excluding the new runners tonight we had 25 runners & walkers set Season or Lifetime Waterfront 5k PBs tonight - Congrats!
Top three Men on course tonight were Rowan Hooper, in a new record for this course of 15:42 ahead Rowan Hooper and Matthew Moloney.
On the ladies side tonight top three were Sarah Kebbell (in 18:10) followed by Anna Smith , and Lindsay Barwick.
The first walker home was Sean Lake in 28:44 and Terri Grimmett was the first Women walker home in 32:40 .
Congratulations to all who took part tonight we look forward to seeing you all again this summer
We hope the Pacers from Scottish were a motivation and helped you get through to a goal time. So thank you Harry, James & Rebecca for last nights efforts, - Considering the wind there was great efforts by them to get just below the pacing times they were aiming for.
If you would like pacers of different times, let us know. and we will see what Scottish can arrange. They are planning to have at least 3 pacers most nights, and they will set the pace times based on requests (and who is available)
Also a big thanks to the Master Men from the Scottish Athletics for the help last night with registration and Finish line - it is greatly appreciated.
Thanks to Macs Brewbar for the use of their area as our registration and prizegiving location. And for those participants that made use of the location post run to relax and socialise.
If you have any feedback / questions on the results or the event in general - please feel free to drop us an email (@ firstname.lastname@example.org)
Again thank you all.
