With fine and calm weather, there were some good times recorded by the 79 keen runners and walkers. Numbers were boosted by a group from Newlands College testing their fitness.
Hugo Beamish, one of NZ's top distance runners, added some real class to tonight's race. He made his first appearance of the series a winning one, with an awesome time of 14min 45sec - just 7sec off the course record held by Commonwealth Games 1500m runner Julian Matthews. Stacey Kennedy repeated last week's win, with a sharp time of 18min 55sec. Fastest walker was John Hines.
