Race report
Thanks for coming to last night's Waterfront 5k.
Apologies for the confusion with the turnaround point this week. We understand several people in the 5:30pm wave had to run considerably further.
As people are aiming for faster times we can appreciate how frustrating this would be. We will do our best to make sure this doesn't happen again.
We had 140 people cross the finish line. Many had to dodge a parade of kayaks and pedestrians.
Our fastest male home tonight was Dan Hunt, who ran 17:06. Our fastest female was Charlotte Haina in 18:19.
Our walkers had a good turn out. Leading the men home was Sean Lake in 31:10. He was closely followed by the first female Terri Grimmett (31:50)
Keep coming along to be into win a brand new top of the line 32 inch SHARP TV, just in time for Christmas! Between 29 October and the end of the year, compete in just 3 of the Tuesday night races and you will be in the draw for the new TV. And if you do at least 5 races, we will give you an extra entry in the draw!
The draw will be on 17 December, and to win you will need to be present at Chicago Bar at 6.15pm when we make the draw. So keep turning up, and be into win. And of course the more times you race, the greater the chance of a Personal Best time
