Race report

153 runners and walkers fronted for the 8th race in Waterfront 5km Series. Weather conditions were reasonably good - fine but with a moderate northerly taking the edge off times.

Leading everyone home was Tomas Bridgeman with an excellent personal best time of 16min 25sec. Fiona Dowling made her first race in the series a winning one, recording a time of 19min 29sec to be first female finisher. Jon Roskvist (30min 54sec) recorded another win in the men's walk, while Frances Le Fort (35min 29sec) won the women's walk.

A big thanks to the team from the Scottish Athletics Club's walking section (Terri, Phillip, Bart, Daphne, Bob G, John, David) plus the great timekeepers Dan and Bob S for the excellent officiating.

PLEASE NOTE that for the race on 2 Oct registration will be outside in the Chicago courtyard area. We will not have access to the inside of Chicago (due to WOW event) so there will be no prizegiving and no free drink. Sorry! Entry fee will be reduced to $5.
